Information we handle

You can browse everything.hk without an account. When you choose to sign in, we store the account identifier supplied by our authentication provider and the layout, favourites, and preferences you ask us to synchronize. We also process ordinary security and diagnostic data needed to operate the service.

Native iOS app

The everything.hk iOS app can be used without an account. Optional Sign in with Apple supplies an account identifier and email address, including an Apple relay address if you choose Hide My Email. Supabase handles authentication and stores the dashboard layout, favourites and preferences you choose to synchronize. These saved preferences personalize your dashboard and navigation. The native app uses Apple Sign-In only; the website's separate Google advertising disclosures describe website behavior.

How information is used

We use this information only to provide, secure, maintain, and improve everything.hk. We do not sell personal information. Public data displayed by the service comes from identified Hong Kong Government open-data sources.

Advertising and cookies

The everything.hk website may use Google AdSense to help fund the service. When Google advertising is enabled, third-party vendors including Google may place or read cookies, use web beacons, or process IP addresses and other identifiers as a consequence of serving and measuring ads. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to everything.hk or other websites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Before serving personalized ads in a region where consent is required, everything.hk will use a Google-certified consent mechanism.

Location and search requests

When you request nearby services or use your location for a journey, the app sends the coordinates supplied by iOS to the everything.hk backend. iOS may supply precise or approximate location according to your permission choices. Location is requested when you use these features. You can decline location permission and use manual search where available.

When you type a place or address while planning a trip, our backend searches the transport catalogue and may send the search text to the Hong Kong Government Address Lookup Service. That address service receives the search text, not your account identifier or device coordinates.

Operational request records

Our application does not maintain a separate personal search-history database. However, our hosting and authentication providers process operational and security records, which can include requested API paths, search parameters, IP addresses, user agents, response status and timing. Consequently, location coordinates or search text included in request parameters may remain in provider logs after a request completes. These records support service operation, security and troubleshooting. We do not use them for advertising tracking or sell them. Removing saved preferences or deleting your optional account does not necessarily erase provider security and operational records immediately.

Your choices

You may use the public service without signing in, remove saved preferences, or request deletion of your optional account data through the Data Deletion page.
